Save data

Tip:

It is recommended to create data backups while working with the program. Save your latest stand in periodic intervals.

The data backup gets called up by menu Client | Data service | Save data, or you will be asked for a data backup after closing NEXT Farming AG Office.

Caution:

Before starting the data backup, all (detail-)windows have to be closed, or else a window comes up, which has a confirm-button to close all (detail-)windows.

In the following mask you have to select your backup device. It is recommended to save your data on an external device (for example USB-Stick, external drive).

Select a directory for your data backup or create a new one in the context menu with New. The content of the selected directory shows up on the right side.
Archive name: you can name your data backup here. Already existing backups with same name will be overwritten!
[Save] starts your data backup. After completion of the backup, the program needs to be closed with [Close]. For going on with work NEXT Farming AG Office needs to be restarted.

Please note:

Save raw data archive means that data from the import area like already loaded data from on-board computers or hand-held gadgets will be saved, too.

Restore data

Restore the data backup with menu Client | Data service | Restore data.

In the following input mask you first have to select the device that stores the data backup.

Select the directory that stores the data backup. Standardly the backup-directory is located on the device that stores the latest data backup.
The content of the selected directory is shown on the right side.
[Restore] starts restoring the data backup. After completing the restoring the program needs to be closed with [Close] and restarted.

The option If restoring should fail restore old data stock allows to restore the actual data stock, if there should be a fail while restoring the data backup.
